  6. This program is freeware, this means that you can copy it freely as long as
  7. you don't ask any more money for it than a nominal fee for copying.  If you
  8. want to distribute this program you should keep this document with it.
  9. This program cannot be used for commercial purposes without written
  10. permission from the author.

  12. Guide2Doc has proven to be stable in everyday use.  The author is
  13. not responsible for any loss of data, damages to software or hardware that
  14. may result directly or indirectly from the use of this program.  The author
  15. reserves the right to make changes to the software or documentation without
  16. notice.

  18. Guide2Doc also requires the ReqTools.library v38 or higher.
  19. ReqTools is copyright 1993 by Nico François.

  21. Guide2Doc should run on any Amiga system with KickStart v2.04 or
  22. higher and is currently a CLI only program.

  24. Guide2Doc converts amiga .guide files in plain text files by removing the
  25. .guide commands or replacing them with another string.  Guide2Doc is useful
  26. to make a printable copy of a .guide file and for me that's it's only
  27. purpose.

  29. @Node commands are replaced by a paperfeed and some lines this ensures the
  30. printer takes a new paper for the next node.

  32. @{i} @{ub} ....  sequences are replaced by a user definable string and
  33. default to nothing.

  35. @{" some text " Link "some text"} are replaced by 'some text'
  36.  
  37. All other .guide command sequences are removed from the file.

  39. Usage : Guide2Doc [-o] [-Style string] [infile] [outfile]
  40.    -o            : overwrite existing without confirmation.
  41.    -Style string : text styles sequences will replaced by the supplied string
  42.  
  43. If infile and outfile are omitted a file requester will ask you to select
  44. the files.  For the outfile a name will be presented based on the infile name.
